Bernie holds an Advanced Diploma of Aviation and a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management

Bernie has been fascinated by numbers since an early age. Following a successful career as an Airline Pilot he ventured into the finance profession. This followed many years building his own property portfolio with the assistance of a fantastic family friend mortgage broker, from whom many skills were absorbed.

By partnering with James Angus at Finweb, Bernie gained a foot hold into the industry that he loves and has remained affiliated with the Finweb team ever since. Finding; interestingly, that operating airline aircraft and arranging finance deals have a lot of similarities including attention to detail, closely following and keeping abreast of policy changes, and dealing with a lot of numbers! He actively maintains currency as a pilot.
